Introductory Session - Soft Cut (Lino alternative)

Relief printing with Soft Cut (lino alternative) is a great technique and easy to learn. We will cover: 

  • Image preparation,
  • Image transfer to the plate,
  • Creation of the image on the plate with lino cutting tools, 
  • Applying the ink with a brayer,
  • Hand burnishing with a baren to make the print.
Session will include: access to lino cutting tools, black ink, paper, a soft cut plate (10cm x 15cm).

This class will be with Alex. 

£45 per session 

All of our workshops take place in our studio at The Nene Enterprise Centre, Northampton, NN2 6EF

  • Printing the plate with a small press.

Previously studied at three renown printmaking centres including University of Northampton, University of the West of England Bristol and Camberwell School of Art and Design UAL.

Completed a Print Fellowship at University of Northampton
